Independence Day at Our Church St.Andrews Kirk Chennai India

St.Andrews Kirk

Independence day at St.Andrews Kirk is celebrated with singing of the National Anthem "Jana Gana Mana" year after year, not alone demonstrates our love for the nation, but also projects the depth of our PATRIOTISM

Should you want to know why Sten Nilson in his book, European Architecture in India 1750-1850, described this Church "from the artistic point of view, St.Andrews is undoubtedly the best designed Church in Chennai" then you must visit this Church to believe your eyes, which has been preserved since 1821, with out any change in its ambiance.

Diligently held close to our hearts in preserving its grandeur over the ages so that it would remain as Glorious as it stands today for the generations to come and witness this and sing to the Lord "How Great thou art"

Here is where we worship Our Lord Jesus Christ each Sunday raising our hearts to the Almighty with passionate hymns from the Choir and the congregation, surrendering our hearts and soul to the King of Kings, who leads us in the path of righteousness through HIS words of comfort.

Built on a foundation of 150 wells in the midst of green foliage and date palms is no doubt a paradise on Earth to worship the King of Kings and worship HIM singing "I surrender all"
