** ANOINTED SONG WRITING

My first encounter with Song Composing

During the winter of 1975 in the Cosmopolitan Garden City of Bangalore, the capital city of the State of Karnataka, South India (now called as Bengaluru), a bunch of kids joined together and formed a Christmas Carol group and named it as the Catholic Christian Association (CCA).

South India has four major languages, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu and our group had them all. Though our language of expression was English, none of us had English as our Mother Tongue.

For the first two years we wrote songs using existing melodies of movie songs in Tamil, Malayalam and English. But during the third year our thirst for a new song was born and so one day, during the late night, we were walking up and down inside a bakery which was closed for the day.

I being the leader walked frantically up and down as if I was going to perform a magic – believe me, I can play no instrument but can fairly handle a few of them.

As I was walking suddenly the word “Love one another” flashed into my mind and as if the doors of heaven opened for the occasion, the entire song flowed down within a matter of an hour, there was no stopping, till it was done.

That was my first maiden song which was very well appreciated and many came forward and enquired who the composer was. As I felt that no one would believe that I composed, we replied that it was an existing song in the US. Vow they believed it and loved the song more, asking us to sing again so that they could record, which we did without any fuss.

Years rolled by and song writing became a hobby, thus wrote almost a hundred songs without publishing them, till 1989.

During the winter of 1982, Mr.Roppie, the DJ of the Abu Dhabi FM Radio 98.5 operating from the City of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, announced that there will be a meeting for all those who know song writing and composing.

Vow! What an inviting announcement that was in the desert. The response was not bad, around ten of us gathered there and each one had the opportunity to express what they had in store and when my turn came, I stood up and addressed the gathering that I was interested in getting my songs recorded ASAP and that I was looking for a producer. The best Mr.Roppie could do was to give me the contact address of one Mr.Dram of GEMA Berlin, who was a Director/producer. Thanks to Mr.Dram, he did guide me but nothing came out of it.

The Turning Point:

Finally during the winter of 1989, I was touched by the Power of the Holy Spirit and was born again.

As if by magic I left my stubborn habit of smoking sixty cigarettes and a bottle of whisky each day. From then on one miracle after another followed in my life and finally the Lord Almighty, blessed me decease free since more than fifteen years now. And from then on wrote songs praising the Almighty who made me a new man.

Around 1999, while fasting and praying for twenty one days, for a totally bed ridden person, I was filled by the Power of the Holy Spirit and was anointed with powers as written in the Scripture in Luke 10.19 – 20

19Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

From then on I am more burdened by the Holy Spirit to write songs which would reveal the presence of the Almighty so that the listener will get deliverance, salvation and rejoice being born again.

During the summer of 2008, I decided to go on my own and brought out this first audio Gospel CD, LET MY PEOPLE GO, which has songs revealed by the power of the Holy Spirit. This CD has only six songs and all of them are power packed, with captivating melody, music, lyrics and would set you free and give a new direction and thinking, they are like six gems in a gold box from the treasure trove of the Almighty, each one has a different entity and style, which could be defined as Christian Rock, Philharmonic Sentimental, Reggae, Jewish / Arabic, Jive & Soul

About the Songs in this CD – Produced 2008

There Goes My Savior

In the midst of a forty day fasting, during the Lenten season of 2004, my heart was very much troubled and burdened for the crisis and agony of this world, where in millions are living in tears.

Broken families, broken heartedness, suppressed justice, the list goes on and on. And in spirit, when I looked to the Cross suddenly the Lord revealed HIS last journey Via Dolorosa.

Under the weight of the Cross HE stumbled and fell down and then HE looked back straight into my eyes.

Oh that one look had millions of messages of love. He made me to realize that all that misery HE was going through was due to me and my sins but yet HE never accused me but took all my shame upon the Cross, delivering me.

And I couldn’t bear seeing that pain and agony and my heart whispered to the nearest ones around me and I said “There goes my Savior Jesus Christ”.

He touched me and when you listen, you will never be the same again, cause you will feel being touched.

Let My People Go

While practicing the songs of this CD for recording, my good friend Bro.Raj Kumar (Amal), suddenly asked me, “Uncle, what will be the title for this CD?” My God, I never thought of that and my mind went racing and I was frozen for almost fifteen minutes and suddenly came back to senses and said “Let My People Go”.

He then asked me “Uncle where is the song” I said as of now I don’t have one. And I said let us continue the journey (practice) and the Lord will provide.

Within seven days the Lord revealed the song and the lyrics came rolling down as usual. I sang out the song a couple of time so that he could grab the melody and the style. Then I detailed Bro.Raj about the melody and explained the type and style of music and gave him few examples such as Mustafa & Ava nagila.

Indeed he did a fantastic job and once you listen to the song, you will get thrilled to gift one of the master pieces of this era, to all your friends.

Holy Holy Holy Lord Jehovah

The moment St. Andrews Kirk, Chennai (Madras, India) announced a revival meet to be held on 14th July 2007, my heart leapt for the occasion.

The Power of the Almighty gave me the entire song within 3days from the date of the announcement and practiced for about half an hour with our Church organist Mr. Arul Siromone.

Those present on that day, including the pastors of Powerhouse church and Emmanuel Methodist church appreciated the song, which was filled with the Power of the Holy Spirit.

It’s an expression of thirst, longing for HIS Kingdom and to redeem billions who are bounded by the power of darkness.

Holy Holy Lord Jehovah Let Thy Kingdom Come

It almost took a year’s time to compose this song way back in the early 1980s, the lyrics were written during 2004 to glorify the Almighty, who gave me a second chance to change my attitude to refrain from a corrupt living, which is adored more in this world.

HE perfected me through HIS word in the Holy Bible, found in 1st John 3:9 whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Yes the Almighty has already carried all your sins on the cross of Calvary; you are no more a sinner

My Jesus Christ

This melody was composed around 1984 while riding my mobike on the coast of the world’s second longest beach.

It was noon time and the beach was deserted, me and my bike alone, as I kept gliding on the road, the melody flowed into my heart.

The lyrics were written to glorify the Almighty around 2005. Both my daughter Grace Beryl Carolina and my son George Victor Paul raj enjoyed singing them in their Schools.

Father Abraham

Christmas decorations (metal tree hangings) had to be shipped to Restoration hardware USA/Canada from a place called Moradabad in the heartland of India.

I was attached with the buying house Li & Fung (India) and was responsible for the Quality assurance.

During one particular night the production was delayed, so I had to wait in the factory till the cargo was ready. It was well past midnight and I was browsing the internet to kill boredom.

My eyes caught up with many terrorist attacks, war scenarios and the so on worldwide.

Bloodshed everywhere, human blood was splattered everywhere in every nation.

Brother against brother. I saw the Jews and the Arabs fighting, I broke down in tears and my heart called out

“Father Abraham, look at your Children Quarreling”.
